BITD is almost half done and I really do feel I'm 'back in the day' stitching this one. Not only because of the style of this design, but I've been doing a lot of reading at a remarkable site I'd like to share with you called Hearth.

This is Cornell University's online library of all things related to Home Economics published between 1850 and 1950.

It is amazing to see the level of knowledge from the most mundane to the most sophisticated of topics relating to home and hearth that was published in books, magazines, periodicals during that century of time. A true treasure trove!

  3. BITD is growing nicely :) And thanks for the link to the Cornell site - so much to read there, and so much to learn - people really had respect for the job of "Homekeeping" at one time, didn't they?
