A Personal Pause or Maybe Paws?
I had planned to post the next photo of Glorious Spring's progress today, but I hope you'll forgive my taking a brief pause in this blog about cross stitch designs to pay tribute to two of my biggest and best inspirations.
My first design, Northern Nights, featured two large dogs howling at the winter moon. They represented our two Anatolian Shepherd boys, Zach and his son, Jubal.
Before I finished stitching the model of Northen Nights last December, Zach died making the piece even more meaningful to Terry and I.
Today, Jubal died. We are so thankful to the Lord for the years we had with both of these great sweet protectors and while neither will ever be forgotten, a certain sampler has become extra special to us.
We hope someday in Glory to once again throw balls for two big golden balls of love -
Jubal
Zach

I'm so sorry about the loss of your sweet dogs. I'm trying to finish Northern Nights for my big black thinks-she's-a-wolf. Thank you for sharing your designing talent with the world.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Claudette, I love knowing that others see their own 'wolves' in the design. Give her a hug for me :)
ReplyDeleteKathy so sorry to hear of your lost, they are reported as being such wonderful LGD's. I still have my Northern Nights in my January Crazy Challenge! Will send you a piccie when finished.

Kathy--so sad to hear about your doggies. I know it is like losing family members when a beloved pet dies. May you find comfort in all your memories. Hugs, Maggee
ReplyDeleteSo sorry that you have lost both your furbabies...they are together Over Rainbow Bridge now.
ReplyDeleteWords are never enough. Two extraordinary dogs. Love and prayers, Di
